The agreement between you and Varsity Page covering fan accounts, contest entries, content submissions, and acceptable use.
This document is a development-stage placeholder and is not legal advice. Varsity Page makes no warranty that this content is suitable for production deployment or that it complies with any applicable law. It must be reviewed and rewritten by qualified legal counsel before public release. Bracketed values such as [Legal Entity Name] and [Jurisdiction] indicate fields that require real information before publication.
By accessing or using Varsity Page (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Varsity Page, operated by [Legal Entity Name].
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Varsity Page account. Anonymous browsing has no minimum age, but parents are encouraged to supervise younger users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post material changes with a new “Last Updated” date and, for significant updates, give you in-app or email notice. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
Varsity Page is a free, fan-focused platform for following high school athletics. It includes:
Athletic information shown on Varsity Page is published by schools through VP Core (our athletic department software for schools). We are not a school, school district, or athletic association. We aggregate and present the information your school has chosen to make public. Accuracy of rosters, schedules, scores, and similar content depends on what schools enter into VP Core.
Varsity Page is an independent platform. Schools subscribe to VP Core under a separate Master Services Agreement, and that agreement governs the school’s rights and obligations with respect to athletic data they publish.
Statements about a school, team, athlete, coach, administrator, sponsor, or event on Varsity Page reflect data the school provided to VP Core. They are not editorial content created by Varsity Page. If something is inaccurate, please contact the school’s athletic department to have it corrected at the source.
Varsity Page offers three tiers of access:
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
Varsity Page exists to celebrate high school athletes and communities. School-appropriate standards apply at all times. You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice.
“User Content” means anything you submit to Varsity Page, including parent ads, photos, written messages, contest entries, profile information, and support communications.
Contests and giveaways on Varsity Page are run by schools and sponsors. Each contest has its own rules, which are disclosed to you before you enter.
VP Chat is an AI assistant that answers questions about school athletics using data published by schools through VP Core. It is read-only: it does not create, modify, or delete data.
You control which notifications you receive in Settings. We may send service-critical notifications regardless of preferences, such as contest winner announcements for contests you have entered, account security alerts, and changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
The Varsity Page platform, the “Varsity Page” name and logo, the “Everyone wins.” tagline, the Championship Bold visual system, and the original software, designs, and content created by us are owned by Varsity Page and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
School logos, mascots, school names, team names, athlete names, photos, and similar marks belong to the schools, athletes, and their respective rights holders. Varsity Page displays them under our agreements with the schools through VP Core.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your account data after a reasonable period (typically 30 days), subject to legal holds and our Privacy Policy. Sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VARSITY PAGE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (WHICH FOR FANS IS TYPICALLY $0) OR (B) US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Varsity Page and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of:
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — likely Texas], without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of [Arbitration Provider — e.g., the American Arbitration Association], in [Venue — e.g., Bexar County, Texas].
Class action waiver. You and Varsity Page agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds the arbitration provision unenforceable, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [Venue].
