Bio

Margaret A. Carlin was elected to the SCUC ISD Board of Trustees in 2023. Since moving to the community in 2014, she has been an active participant in both educational and civic efforts. With extensive experience in the IT industry, she holds an AAS in Electronic Technology, a BAS in Technology with a minor in Computer Science, and an MS in Organizational Leadership and Ethics. Her professional background includes program and project management across the semiconductor, oil field, financial, media, and aerospace industries, giving her a broad perspective on problem-solving, systems thinking, and organizational improvement. Ms. Carlin’s family has strong ties to SCUC ISD. Her brother, Lt. Marty Trevino, previously served as a School Resource Officer, and her sister-in-law teaches at Sippel Elementary. With a passion for public service and educational excellence, Ms. Carlin is committed to responsible stewardship, student success, and fostering positive school-community partnerships.
