Samuel Clemens High School
Superintendent
Superintendent Paige A. Meloni’s distinguished 33-year career in education reflects her deep commitment to excellence, transformative leadership, and staunch advocacy for public education. Born in Nocona, Texas, Meloni began her career with a passion for creating life-lasting opportunities for children. Her professional path has spanned the classroom to the cabinet, demonstrating her ability to lead with both strategic vision and grounded authenticity. Since February 2024, Meloni has served as Superintendent of Schools for Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD (SCUC ISD), where she hit the ground running with the guiding message: “Excellence starts with gratitude.” Her leadership centers on three core commitments: ★ Purpose—keeping students as the north star in every decision, ★ People—developing and celebrating the district’s teachers and staff, and ★ Partnerships—building meaningful relationships with families and the broader community. A proud resident of the SCUC community for nearly 25 years, Meloni previously served the district as a principal, Executive Director of Finance, and Executive Director of Special Programs. Her broader leadership experience includes roles as Chief Financial Officer for Lewisville ISD, where she managed an $828 million budget and helped secure a $1.2 billion bond, and as CFO for Client Business Services at ESC Region 20, where she guided districts through fiscal challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic. Her strong financial background has been a critical asset to SCUC, particularly as the district navigates rising costs due to inflation. Under her leadership, the district has maintained a steady focus on fiscal responsibility while planning proactively for the future. Meloni is a vocal champion for public education funding and governance. She plays a lead role in the Guadalupe and Bexar County Education Coalitions, advocating for legislative priorities that support students, educators, and the long-term sustainability of Texas public schools. You’ll often find Mrs. Meloni exactly where she wants to be: in the thick of it. Whether she’s walking campuses in her signature Adidas or listening to student performances after hours, she shows up for students and staff—fully present and all in. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Austin College, a Master’s from Tulane University, and a Superintendent Certification from Texas State University. Paige is active in professional organizations such as the Texas Association of School Administrators and remains involved in her community through Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma, TX.
