Gerald “Jerry” Perkins was elected to the SCUC ISD Board of Trustees in 2015 and has served in multiple roles including Board President. Mr. Perkins retired from a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force before transitioning into business leadership roles, including controller, national accounts manager in healthcare services, and vice president of business development for a federal contracting agency. He now works as a Certified Business Coach and owner of a local firm supporting business growth. Mr. Perkins earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle. His professional education includes training in executive leadership, on-scene command, and military comptroller studies. An active community member, he has served with the Schertz Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, the U.S. Green Building Council, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates (Alamo Chapter). Mr. Perkins and his wife, Aurora, are parents to two Clemens High School graduates, Victoria (Class of 2010) and Daniel (Class of 2011). His service on the Board is rooted in a commitment to strong governance, community engagement, and supporting a high-quality educational experience for all students.
